The PTA (Parent, Teachers Association) are a group of people consisting of teachers and parents whose aim is to raise funds to purchase items for the school that benefit our children at Chantlers.
The PTA raise in the region of £5000 each year. The money raised is spent on a variety of items, such as improving the Information Technology Area, sports equipment, kits and library resources. The PTA also subsidise all the school trips the children go on and pay for theatre groups to visit the school. Without the PTA these visits would not be possible.
So were does all this money come from? Well that’s easy – here is a list of some of the main fund raising events:-
- Easter Egg Bingo
- Summer Fair
- Plant Sale
- Non-uniform days
- School discos
- Sponsored Events
The PTA meets about four times a year to discuss and plan fund raising events and to consider how the money raised is spent.
We are always seeking new members and if you feel you could contribute in any way, why not come along to the next meeting – the date and time are usually displayed around school.
