	At Chantlers we have many extra curricular activities. They take place at lunchtimes and after school and are supervised by the staff..

FOOTBALL

football

Mr Copeland is in charge of the football team. They train on Tuesdays after school and play matches against other schools in the Borough.

BADMINTON

Mr Roscoe and Mrs Latham run the Badminton Club. They train on Wednesdays and Thursdays after school. They play matches against other schools in the borough. There are no current fixtures.

NETBALL netb

Mrs Howarth is the netball coach. They meet to train on Tuesdays after school. Matches are played against teams from other schools.

MUSIC music

At Chantlers the children enjoy many musical activities which are organised by Miss Bott and Mrs Bennett. Miss Bott teaches the recorder groups which are grouped according to experience and ability. The recorder groups practise at luchtimes and perform in school concerts. Mrs Bennett teaches the choir which meets on Friday afternoon after school. The choir performs at school concerts and sometimes takes part in a massed choir event - ‘Children of Bury Sing’.

Many children also take part in individual instrumental lessons provided by the Bury Music Service.
