On Tuesday 28 of April we went to Ellesmere Boat Museum. When we got there Mr. Roscoe booked us in at reception. The lady behind the counter pushed the button to open the door so that we could get through. First we went up stairs to put our pack lunch on a table. We were put into groups. We were given a questionnaire and at the top it said group name, my group were called, ‘The Canal People’.
We got to go on an old canal boat that had a house inside .We went inside the house on the boat too have a look. It was tiny; it was only big enough to fit an adult in it. There was a giant boat called Bigmere. Sophie, the group and I went on top of it. Then we went to an old-fashioned playroom and played with some old toys. After that we went to some old cottages and inside we saw an old TV. Then we had dinner.
After dinner we went in the stables. It smelt really bad! Then we went to the blacksmith. There were really nice things made from iron, like a candleholder. After that we went to the Power Hall, there were men working on a machine. We asked them questions. Finally we had to go. We had a brilliant day.
